After Bjorn's departure in 2003, the firm continued to operate using the original name, SK Architecture, P.C. until it was charged to Ed Kopel Architects, PC in 2005. The firm is LEED Accredited and a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects)

Arts in Transit, New York, NY

New Downtown Hotel, New York, NY

The Downtown Hotel is an 8-story, 100 room, luxury boutique hotel on the site of a former parking lot. Though the lobby will be connected to the adjacent Tribeca Grill, it will also have its own 300 seat restaurant, leading to an arcaded exterior courtyard, and a commercial kitchen below.

The Lounge at the Shoreham Hotel, New York, NY

Ed Kopel has been involved with the Shoreham Hotel since 1997 when he started to work as a project manager for Bernard Goldberg’s Gotham Hospitality Group, a successful developer of NYC boutique hotels in the mid to late 1990’s.

The Fitness Center at the Mansfield Hotel, New York, NY

Ed Kopel has been involved with this hotel, in one way or another, since 1998. His projects there include: the conversion of an existing library into a new bar; the conversion of a freight elevator into a passenger car; providing bathroom ventilation with new façade openings, and, most currently, a new hotel gym and exercise mezzanine.

Loews New York Hotel, New York, NY

This renovation project, for a 722 room hotel designed by the father of Googie Style architecture, Morris Lapidus, had multiple components including: a new penthouse executive lounge and banquet hall, a soft goods upgrade for the lobby, and an exterior restoration.

Hotel 41 at Times Square, New York, NY

A new bar, restaurant and commercial kitchen for a boutique hotel in the heart of Times Square.
